Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR)
-
The Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) is the district's evaluation process, as specified by New York State. It creates systems and structures for observation and evaluation of teachers and administrators. Bedford Central School District's NYS-approved plan is based on the Danielson Framework for Teaching. It incorporates a continual improvement model through which teachers and administrators set goals, create action plans, are observed both formally and informally by lead evaluators, and submit annual reflections on their growth, professional learning, and student progress.
